At Connex Life, we believe in the importance of Social and Community participation for our participants and Bronte is no exception. We have been closely working with Bronte for the over 10 months, fostering her participation socially and more generally.
Our Support Coordinator, Raf, takes the time to not only understand her choices but to support Bronte in exploring her interests, hobbies & work on overcoming challenges or obstacles. Through dedicated and tailored efforts, our aim is to assist Bronte in developing a fulfilling and inclusive life.
We are about listening to our participants & working together with them.
We understand that every individual is unique, and therefore, we tailor our approach to suit Bronte’s specific needs and preferences. By taking the time to listen and understand her choices, this ensures her voice is heard and respected throughout the process. Bronte is always part of decision-making process – this empowers her to take ownership of the choices and actively participate in activities that align with her goals and interests.

Let’s look more closely Social and Community participation. It plays a vital role in an individual’s overall well-being. Social and Community participation allows people like Bronte to connect with others, work on breaking down barriers or challenges plus opportunities to form relationships, and hone-in & practise skills like travel management or time management.
In Bronte’s case, she has interests liking singing and writing poetry, and Social and Community involvement becomes even more crucial. By encouraging her to engage with the community, it helps Bronte develop / build a support network, as well as immerse herself in positive settings, which helps grow confidence, to ensure short and long-term goals are achieved.
Through our person-centered approach, we work together with participants, so they can achieve their goals.
At Connex Life, we recognise the importance of Social and Community participation for individuals like Bronte. Supporting Bronte in exploring her interests and hobbies as well as spending the time to tackle obstacles and barriers, this empowers her to build a fulfilling and inclusive life.
